Making the most of a small space
This bathroom was opened up dramatically by replacing a simple, plastic lined shower enclosure (seen below), with a custom floor-to-ceiling wall tiled shower. Artisan Building Services widened the shower area by removing and building a new wall left of the shower door about 12" and bringing out the front of the shower about 12" which made for a comfortable difference in utility for this stand-up shower enclosure. The plumbing water and drain lines were moved to accommodate the new shower design and the tile extends from the shower area out into the bathroom, giving a greater, overall feel of continuity to the shower area.
